developers use to test their contracts named
This section is for those of you already got DIRT running locally, and are ready to connect to the Ethereum testnet.
To create and interact with the DIRT contracts, you will need the following:
- Ethereum wallet account
- Ethereum tokens on the Ropsten testnet
- DIRT tokens on the Ropsten testnet
- MetaMask (optional)
Metamask is a browser add-on for managing Ethereum accounts and executing transactions on Ethereum blockchain. While it is not required for using the DIRT contracts or library, it will make some steps easier.
Get an Ethereum Wallet Account
If you don't have one already, create an Ethereum account.
If you get MetaMask, the installation will guide you through account creation.
Otherwise, you can create one at https://www.myetherwallet.com/ as well.
Get Etherum Tokens
If you have MetaMask, go to MetaMask Ether Faucet, select the appropriate network and account from the browser extension menu, and click
request ether from faucet.
This Ropsten faucet can be used without Metamask.
Get DIRT Tokens
To run transactions with DIRT protocol you will need to get DIRT from the faucet. Make sure you have some ETH to pay for gas fees. DIRT Faucet
